Heading into September 25ths bout in Mobile, Alabama, the Bulldogs were 2 - 0 after making it out of two close finishes against South Carolina and Bethune-Cookman. Facing the Tuskegee Golden Tigers (1-2), the team looked to create a bit more separation on the scoreboard, which they successfully achieved.

After faults on opening drives from both teams, the Alabama A&M passing game found its rhythm and began to look unstoppable. Dee Anderson, the senior 6’6 Wideout had a career night, beginning the night with a 20-yard touchdown grab to score the games initial points. Later in the quarter Spencer Corey nailed a 39-yard field goal on a night that included him also going 6/6 on PAT attempts in a trail blazing scoring game. Continuing his stellar performance Dee Anderson scored another Touchdown on a two-yard grab capping off a 16-play drive from the Bulldogs, making the score 17-0 in Alabama A&M’s favor.

Tuskegee would eventually find its footing scoring two straight touchdowns on a 6-yard rush from Patterson and an eight-yard reception from Hodges less than three minutes into the third, bringing the score to 17-14. To no surprise, Dee Anderson would score his third touchdown of the night just three minutes later a 30-yard reception. The tigers then struck out and returned the ball right back into the hands of the Bulldogs, who were electric turning a 14-yard Hilaire reception, 37-yard Ibrahim reception for an easy Gary Quarles eight-yard touchdown run to extend Alabama A&M’s lead to 31-14. Quarles having quite the night himself, delivered 164 yards from scrimmage a career best of his to go along with two touchdowns.

Two more Golden Tiger scores brought the game to 31-28 early in the fourth, A&M just having a slim lead. This would lead to Gary Quarles breaking loose for a 44-yard touchdown run and shortly after that Glass finding Hilaire in the endzone on a 21-yard pass. Final score ends at 45-35 as Alabama A&M goes to 2-1 in the Gulf Coast Challenge. Key numbers from the game included Aqeel Glass 27/39 for 405 yards, 4TDs and 2 interceptions. Abdul Ibrahim with eight receptions for 177 yards, Dee Anderson with eight receptions for 80 yards and 3 touchdowns and Armoni Holloway with 5 tackles.
